The Power of Collages pt. 01

I’ve always loved collaging different time periods of my life. Sometimes it’s encapsulating an entire summer into one post; other times it’s a trip, or even just a single month. Collages, for me, have become a way to pause and reflect—on events, on the things I loved, and on the feelings that colored that chapter of my life.

There’s something special about combining photos of my dogs, loved ones, myself, and random little things that made me laugh—memes, screenshots, or backgrounds from shows I was obsessed with. When I put them together, it feels like I’m capturing an essence rather than a single moment. It’s less about perfection and more about atmosphere.

Seeing these collages come to life in an Instagram carousel is one of my favorite parts. A single collage transforms into 7–10 images, and suddenly the whole thing feels like a tiny documentary of who I was at that time. It’s intimate, creative, and grounding. In a world that moves so fast, collaging helps me slow down and appreciate the little details that make life feel full.

Collaging isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a form of self-reflection, a personal archive, and a reminder that our lives are made of moments that deserve to be remembered in color, texture, and feeling.

June 2023 (Face the doomsday and you’ll know you’re a good man before a dazzling end. With Love, Angelus)

July 2023 (Will you be my pen pal?)

April 2024 (Wishing doesn’t make it so)

August 2024 (It’s my gratuitous karaoke moment! The crowd was annoyed but now they're getting on board!)

December 2024 (.09-.012, cheers to a new year and new horizons)

I hope these collages sparked some inspiration. Make sure to carve out time in your day to reflect and express yourself in whatever way your mind feels called to.
