Angel Albarran is a Houston illustrator and designer who has spent about ten years making work for healthcare, automotive, corporate, and residential clients. He draws, designs, plans spaces, and builds brands, and most projects end up needing all of it. Right now he's the lead designer at Luminess Cosmetics, where he designs the packaging for each new product and builds its product page assets and statics to generate daily sales.

His illustration work has run in OutSmart Magazine, where he reimagined the twelve zodiac signs as kings and queens of the stars, modeled on his own friends. His work has won Best of Show and Best Wall Treatment at the RUBY Awards, and took second place in the Art Car Parade. In 2025 he designed the midtown PRIDE wrap with Fresh Arts.

Angel is rooted in Houston's art community. He has worked on the Art Car Parade, designed for Houston Gaymers, and advocated for the preservation of the River Oaks Theatre. He also sits on a committee board for the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and has spoken to students at Mount St. Joseph University.

He lives in Houston with his dogs and fosters more through Texas Bark Squad.
