Crimson Astral Dreams
Medium: Black and red ink on a pocket sized notebook.
Buzzez B wasn't always Buzzez B. Once, he was just a regular guy, a bit nerdy, a bit shy, with a pair of thick glasses and a penchant for doodling (Illustration 1). He worked at a mundane job, pushing a shopping cart through the aisles of a big box store, dreaming of a life less ordinary.
One day, while restocking shelves, a strange, flickering red light enveloped him. When it subsided, Buzzez felt… different. He was angrier, more impulsive. His hair seemed to have a life of its own, and a burning sensation radiated from his skin (Illustration 2). He had no idea what had happened, but he knew he wasn't the same. He felt a strange word echoing in his mind: "BRKR".
Confused and a little scared, Buzzez stumbled out of the store and into the bustling city. He wandered, disoriented, until he found himself in a dingy back alley. There, amidst the graffiti and discarded trash, he met a peculiar character. This man, with his backwards cap and goggles pushed up on his forehead, seemed to know him (Illustration 3). He called him "Super Buzzez B" and spoke of a hidden world, a world where Buzzez, or rather, "BRKR", had a vital role to play.
The man explained that Buzzez had been touched by a chaotic energy, an energy that could break down the mundane and rebuild it anew. He showed Buzzez how to harness this energy, how to control the flames that flickered around his head.
But the power came with a price. As Buzzez embraced his new identity, his old self began to fade. The glasses disappeared, replaced by a hardened stare. He became more confident, more powerful, but also more distant. The lines of his face grew sharper, more angular, and a strange, almost celestial glow surrounded him (Illustration 4). He was becoming something else entirely, something the man called "Noble Buzzez B".
He was told that "BRKR" was just the beginning. He was destined to become "Noble", a being of pure energy, capable of reshaping reality itself. But as Buzzez looked at his transformed reflection, he wondered if the price of this power was too high. He missed the simple life, the quiet moments, the person he used to be. He was now Buzzez B, but was he still the same Buzzez underneath?
The End (or is it just the beginning?)
